Debra (Debbie) is a Leadership/Management Consultant and Executive Coach with over 40 years of professional experience in leadership across various industries, consistently serving as a catalyst for sustainable change. Her corporate background spans business and management consulting, systems sales, systems analysis, project management, process improvement, trading floor investments, executive coaching, organizational change, and leadership training and development.
After several years of working with leading consulting initiatives, Debra has centered her Management Consulting & Executive Coaching on increasing an individual or organization’s self-awareness as the foundation for stronger leadership. From there, she helps clients translate that awareness into action plans tailored to improve productivity within the business. The result of her engagement is consistent; leadership growth and stronger teams.
Background and Industry Experience
Debra began her career in banking as a Productivity Management Consultant (Industrial Engineer), then moved into Systems Analysis in Funds Management, and next to Investments on the Trading floor of the bank, before pioneering to be one of the first full-service brokers in the banking industry. During this period, she discovered leadership development, assessments, and 360 feedback through a year-long training program with Farr Associates. The work resonated so deeply that she changed her career course in 1998 to join Staub Leadership Consultants, where she expanded into Leadership Training and Development. A few years later, she started her own firm and trained in coaching an International Coaching Federation course and earned a medical certification from the NBHWC and is currently a Nationally Certified Health & Wellness coach.
She retired from her Secretary General (CEO) position with World Climbing and is currently working in Leadership/Management Consulting, Executive Coaching, and as a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Her work leading a sport into the full Olympic Status enables her to collaborate with clients all at levels of an organization. She is comfortable working across all levels of hierarchy and influence, helping clients navigate the complexities of leadership, accountability, and organizational change. Clients find her work to be deep, effective, relevant, and lasting far beyond the time she spends with them.
Recent clients include Armada Hoffler (Property Management company), US Dept of Energy-Finance & Accounting, Procter & Gamble, Port of Virginia, Tenable (Cybersecurity), Replacements, Drucker & Falk, Runnymede, Tenable, and Northrop Grumman.
Education and Professional Affiliations
Debra attended Miami University where she received a BS. In Speech Pathology & Audiology. She then went on to complete her MBA at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she stopped two courses from earning another bachelor’s degree in French. She is qualified in MBTI, Strength Deployment Inventory, Leadership Versatility Index, Zenger Folkman, 4 Stages of Psychological Safety, and is a Professional & Master Certified Coach with over 10,000 hours of coaching to name a few of her relevant credentials.
