Wellness
“It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease, than to know what sort of disease a person has.”
—Hippocrates (460-380 B.C.), Father of Western Medicine
Why Wellness Programs are
Important to Your Business
Wellness overall can result in employees who are not looking for someone else to solve all their problems. They are, instead, self-responsible individuals with the ability to look at the current reality of their situation, how they got there in the first place, what they may be doing to perpetuate their current state and what their vision is for overall health and well-being.
Employees make the connection of how their actions, thoughts and feelings have a significant impact on their health and how that, in turn, has an impact on the greater organization.
What Is Different about Our Approach?
Our Wellness Programs come from the perspective of wellness rather than illness. Wellness means different things to individual people. In fact, one can actually experience illness and be quite “well,” defined as overall health and vitality of well-being. It depends on where one is looking on the Wellness Continuum. We have found that a key component for wellness is the foundational aspect of self-responsibility.
Someone who is looking at disability, symptoms and signs of illness is in the Treatment Paradigm of the Continuum. On the other side of the Wellness Continuum, there is awareness, education and growth. As an extreme example, it is entirely possible for someone to be dying of an illness and experience a high level of wellness. That person is self-responsible and conducting all phases of his or her life in terms of wellness. That person can be living in wellness.

Biofeedback Sessions
Biofeedback is a mind-body technique that uses sensors to monitor physiological signals — such as heart rate, muscle tension, skin temperature, and breathing — and reflects that information back to you in real time. By seeing these signals as they happen, you learn to recognize subtle shifts in your body and practice techniques to influence them, building lasting skills in relaxation and self-regulation.
Why People Try Biofeedback
Biofeedback offers a hands-on, drug-free way to understand how your body responds to stress. It’s widely used to:
- Reduce stress and support relaxation by lowering physiological arousal and building body awareness
- Ease muscle tension, including chronic back, neck, and shoulder tightness, by training you to notice and release unconscious tightening
- Support migraine prevention, using muscle relaxation and breathing regulation techniques recognized by headache specialists as an effective preventive approach
- Build general pain-management skills, by lowering the physical stress responses that can heighten discomfort
About Working With Me
I’m a qualified biofeedback practitioner and a nationally certified health and wellness coach. I combine biofeedback with evidence-informed coaching to help clients build sustainable stress-management and self-regulation skills tailored to their goals.
Biofeedback is a wellness and self-regulation tool, not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you’re managing a diagnosed condition — including chronic pain, incontinence, migraine, or any cardiovascular or mental health condition — I recommend biofeedback as a complement to, not a replacement for, care from your physician or mental health provider.
Stress Management Program
(2 hour / 4 Hour Format)
How to Create Your Own Sanctuaries of Relaxation and Renewal in Your Everyday Lives
Experience the unique healing power of sacred spaces from across our vast planet, then explore what unique message each sacred space means to you and how you can use that information to rejuvenate your life every day.
Program Objective
Give participants tools to help them imagine stress and bring the relaxation experience of vacation or travel back into their daily lives.
Methodology
Participants begin with a guided visualization to help them relax and learn how to do guided imagery. Then they find a partner and share what they saw and learned. This information is used as a baseline.
Next, participants learn about creating their own mandala or Sacred Spaces Totem. They learn about energy centers in the body and what it can mean for their overall well-being when one of their energy centers is blocked.
Then, the group experiences a guided visual, sound and movement experience together that takes them through the seven energy centers of their bodies, using seven different Sacred Spaces as their tour guide. Afterwards, they record their experiences (using markers, crayons and other art supplies to complete their personal totem). This will serve as a visual anchor for them back in their daily lives about which Sacred Space resonated most powerfully for them and what energy centers responded to specific Sacred Spaces. In this way, the Sacred Spaces tool is dynamic and practical.
