What It Means to Be a
Certified Pokémon Go Coach
A Certified Pokémon Go Coach is a trained, accredited coach who helps players reach their own goals in the game—whether that’s leveling up, building a stronger battle roster, completing research, preparing for PVP, or simply getting more enjoyment out of their time playing. The certification is awarded by the Academy of Coaching Effectiveness (ACE) and signals that a coach has completed formal training in both the craft of coaching and the practical skills of running a coaching business.
An interactive, experiential approach
ACE coaches work from an interactive and experiential coaching model. Rather than handing players a script to follow, a Certified Pokémon Go Coach plays and explores alongside the client—raiding together, walking routes, testing team builds, and learning by doing. Goals take shape through the experience itself, not from a lecture. The coach’s role is to support the player’s progress toward those goals and to speak candidly about any obstacles they see that could get in the way. The player stays in the driver’s seat; the coach brings structure, perspective, and someone to level up with.
More than a training course
Most coaching programs cover only one piece of the picture: how to coach, or how to launch a business, or how to find clients. ACE is designed as a complete, turn-key system for starting or growing a coaching practice. Certified coaches receive:
- Coaching training grounded in the interactive, experiential model
- Ongoing mentoring and supervision after certification
